Design your inner-self, build your dream business!!

Keeping one’s own self-belief over societal beliefs in Life and business!

Truly believing in herself, even in the face of societal expectations, can be a powerful and life-changing choice, both in personal and professional settings.

Steve Jobs: “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

Oprah Winfrey: “You have to follow your own path. You have to have your own understanding and your own knowledge of self. You cannot let others define you or direct you down a path simply because they have been down that path.

In Life:

Personal Fulfillment: Prioritizing her self-belief leads to personal fulfillment and authenticity, living in alignment with values and desires instead of societal expectations.

Self-Discovery: Developing and honing her own values is crucial for achieving personal growth and uncovering her true self.

Resilience: Maintaining her self-belief despite societal pressure is crucial for developing resilience. It empowers her to endure criticism, rejection, and disapproval while remaining steadfast in her authenticity.

Innovation: When she trusts her own beliefs, she may be more inclined to think outside the box and pursue unconventional paths. This can lead to innovative solutions and new opportunities.

Inspiration: Embracing her authenticity and inspire others to follow her convictions.

Kishore Biyani: Kishore Biyani, the founder of Future Group, challenged traditional retail models in India. He believed in the potential of organized retail and introduced innovative formats like Big Bazaar. Despite initial skepticism, his ideas have transformed the Indian retail landscape.

Dhirubhai Ambani: The founder of Reliance Industries, Dhirubhai Ambani, is known for his remarkable journey from a small village in Gujarat to building one of India’s largest conglomerates. He believed in the potential of the Indian market and was not deterred by societal or industry norms. His legacy lives on through Reliance, the most valued conglomerate in India.

Jeff Bezos: Jeff Bezos founded Amazon as an online bookstore, but he believed in the potential of e-commerce to revolutionize retail. He faced skepticism from investors and industry experts but stuck to his vision, and Amazon has since become one of the world’s largest and most innovative companies.

Richard Branson: Richard Branson, the founder of the Virgin Group, has consistently challenged traditional business norms and entered various industries, from music to airlines to space travel. His willingness to take risks and trust his instincts has led to the success of numerous Virgin ventures.

In Business:

Differentiation: Prioritizing her self-belief in business can set her apart from competitors. It allows to offer unique products or services that resonate with a specific audience who shares her values.

Entrepreneurship: Many successful entrepreneurs have challenged societal norms and pursued their own beliefs, leading to the creation of groundbreaking companies and industries.

Market Niche: Staying true to her beliefs can help her identify and cater to niche markets that may not be addressed by more mainstream businesses.

Passion and Motivation: Believing in her business’s mission can provide the passion and motivation needed to overcome challenges and persevere during tough times.

Long-Term Sustainability: Businesses founded on strong self-belief often have a solid foundation for long-term sustainability because they are not easily swayed by short-term trends.

However, it’s important to note that prioritizing her self-belief over societal beliefs can also come with challenges:

  • Risk: It can be risky, as she may face resistance or criticism from society, peers, or customers who don’t share her beliefs.
  • Isolation: At times, she may feel isolated or lonely, especially if her beliefs are unconventional or unpopular.
  • Responsibility: Embracing her self-belief can come with the responsibility of defending and justifying her choices, which can be emotionally and mentally taxing.

Ultimately, the decision to prioritize her own self-belief over societal beliefs is a deeply personal one. It requires self-awareness, courage, and a clear understanding of her values and objectives. It’s also important to strike a balance between following her convictions and being open to learning and growth, as well as respecting the rights and beliefs of others in a diverse society.

Thanks for your wonderful write- ups every weekend. First of all I appreciate your concept of feminizing your thoughts as shown in the article. The portrayal of a woman with self conviction and confidence in her thoughts and actions going over and above societal norms and designated responsibilities is exceptionally well taken. And this can apply to the male gender as well. Overall your exemplifying great visionaries who have revolutionized the global thinking is also commendable.
