Dopamine is not the Pursuit of Happiness but Happiness in Pursuit-How we can adopt the thesis in Life and Business!!

Dopamine is released when we experience happiness on our journey towards our destination. This neurotransmitter isn’t produced when we chase after happiness; instead, corticosteroids are released, causing us to burn out as we push ourselves with the limited energy we have to reach our destination. Nowadays, hustling has been glorified as a badge of honor, but those who lack a clear direction and don’t find joy in the process, will inevitably exhaust themselves and blame everything for their failures.

Pursuit of Happiness is now hyperated, rather than the Happiness in Pursuit. We need to be aligned with our physiological process hormonal cycle to embrace happiness during our journey to our individual goals rather than postponing our happiness after we achieve our achievements.

Impact in Life:

Understanding: Within the realm of existence, “Pursuit of Happiness” represents the ongoing and determined endeavor individuals undertake to attain personal well-being, satisfaction, and fulfillment. It encompasses diverse facets of life, such as relationships, personal development, and overall life contentment. Yet, in the pursuit of these personal aspirations, she relentlessly battles herself from within. Ultimately, this internal struggle depletes her spirit, leading her to embrace failure and meet an untimely demise.

Application: Building a strong and lasting relationship is a journey that requires patience and dedication. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by the big picture, it’s important to focus on taking one step at a time towards her goal. By starting with a small activity that brings joy and committing to it regularly, the bond between partners can grow stronger. As this becomes a habit, she now can introduce new aspects that can further enhance the beauty of the relationship. Before she knows it, the relationship will have blossomed like a beautiful flower, ready to embark on the next level.

Inference: In her quest to find a fulfilling relationship, she takes small but significant steps, constantly fueling herself for the next stage of the journey. Throughout this process, she never runs out of steam until she ultimately cultivated a wonderful, rewarding relationship in her personal life.

Impact in Business:

Understanding: When considering the business context, “Pursuit to Happiness” may highlight the strategic or procedural elements of attaining happiness or satisfaction within the organizational structure. It implies that happiness is a destination or objective that businesses strive to achieve for their employees, customers, and stakeholders. In the world of business, just as in our personal lives, if we delay our happiness until we achieve our business objectives, we may one day find ourselves devoid of the energy to reach those goals.

Application: To have Happiness in Pursuit rather than Pursuit to Happiness in her Business she must first discuss and make the team members believe in the bigger problem they will solve for the society through their products/services. Once they believe in the Mission, they will enjoy the process of building the products/services to give the best solutions for their customers. That will create a huge positive impact on her business. Every team member will enjoy the journey and will be enthusiastic to take the business to the next level. She needs to develop a culture of safe environment where every team member can raise their hands when in problem and gets the solution and they can keep on moving.

Inference: In business, just like in life, building personal relationships while tackling larger challenges can make the journey enjoyable. Taking small steps towards a big solution can be compared to a road trip to the Himalayas, where the breathtaking sights constantly fuel the mind with energy, even when the road seems steep.

The Symphony of Emotions: Choosing the path to happiness can be more rewarding than simply chasing after it, whether in our personal lives or in the business world. It’s important to imbue every moment of our journey with significance, allowing happiness to stem from within and fostering a high level of dopamine—the continual mental fuel that propels us forward. Throughout this process, our bodies release serotonin, promoting feelings of happiness and helping to alleviate anxiety when we encounter challenges along the way.

Summary: In our pursuit of building a strong and meaningful relationship, reaching personal goals, or establishing a business for a cause, it’s essential to embrace the happiness of the pursuit itself, rather than pursuing happiness directly. This approach can lead to a successful and energized state, propelling us to the next level.

Embracing the idea that “Dopamine is not the Pursuit of Happiness but Happiness in Pursuit” suggests a shift in perspective from seeking external rewards to finding joy in the journey itself. In life, this means appreciating the process, learning, and growth, rather than relying solely on end goals for fulfillment. In business, adopting this thesis involves fostering a positive and collaborative work culture, valuing employee well-being, and celebrating progress rather than just final outcomes. By emphasizing the joy in pursuit, we can create a more sustainable and fulfilling approach to both life and business, prioritizing the inherent satisfaction derived from the ongoing effort and progress.
