Disclaimer: As I watched an interview, I was deeply moved by the interaction between Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the esteemed Indian Guru & Spiritual leader, and Ankur Warikoo, the respected entrepreneur & influencer. During this heartfelt exchange, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar beautifully differentiated between free will and destiny using a captivating analogy. He explained that we do not fully understand it, but the actual destiny is the process of our physiological growth; it concludes at the age of 22. But we often confuse this with our free will. Conversely, the fluctuations in our weight until our last breath are attributed to our free will. We can control it, and thus it is not destiny. This profound explanation of such a complex theory with such a simple and relatable analogy was truly inspiring. It prompted me to contemplate and share my own thoughts on free will and destiny in life and business.
