Going Digital seems incredibly exhilarating! I truly empathize with the fact that comprehending the authentic significance of digital transformation can prove to be a daunting task for many of us. This process is akin to embarking on a transformative journey, where we liberate ourselves from the constraints of conventional thinking and eagerly delve into uncharted territories of possibilities. While we embark upon this venture, it’s paramount that we hold dear to the timeless values and principles that have long served as the cornerstones of our lives. Digital transformation signifies both embracing the future and remaining rooted in our rich legacy and cultural heritage.
Digital in simple language means spreading something impactful through soft infra to a broader audience in a blink of an eye, otherwise would have taken years to reach out.
In Life: In India, with the progressive Central Government, digital adoption is growing rapidly. We take pride in the fact that we have set an example to the whole world by successfully vaccinating billions against COVID. While the US Government could only provide physical vaccine certificates, we were able to implement digital ones. Now, as other countries witness the positive impact of our UPI system, they are also embracing this indigenous concept. It is crucial for us to embrace digitalisation in our daily lives in order to thrive in the future. Digital adoption goes beyond simply ordering a Gulab Jamun on Swiggy… it encompasses utilizing technology to save time and engage in more meaningful work. This allows us to have more time, a luxury that is often lacking for many Indians.
In Business: Next 3 decades will be for India. We are becoming China +1, where major developed countries like the USA, and the UK are looking at India as the hotspot for business. We are becoming more contributors rather than only consumers of other nations. India Inc. is emerging where new businesses like startups are contributing a lot. Digital economy, the new entrant in our GDP is contributing in a big way & the growth rate is exponential. We have to utilize this era, through digital adoption in business. If we have an idea which we think to be impactful for society. Then build a sustainable business model around it and start digitally reaching out to the target audience. The cost of customer acquisition becomes less than the cost to acquire the same set through physical infra only. Most importantly, along with cost, the time for acquiring the set of customers also gets reduced. This is why most intelligent digital adopters in the startup world have created the 1st $billion business much faster than even the well-established businesses in India which took decades.
In short, let’s adopt digitisation responsibly. This is not only for Gen Z but for all age groups. We need to believe that Digitisation is for bettering our own personal life & who are in business/thinking of starting a business.
