The attitude of an individual is ignited from within, and it is our inner dialogue that constantly shapes our outer actions. Let’s take a moment to delve deep inside ourselves.
Mental Chatter: We are constantly engaged in deep and intricate interactions with our own minds. The conversations we have with our inner selves, both consciously and unconsciously, hold immense power in shaping the way we approach and pursue our goals.
“`Affirmation: In any difficult situation, remind yourself with a gentle tone, “I can handle it” or even say, “All is well” like the famous dialogue from the movie “3 Idiots”. It is truly effective! This practice helps train our minds to think positively and constructively, even when faced with adversity.“`
Creating your own Identity: Constantly reminding yourself of the person you want to be or the life you want to have will be reflected in your body language and actions. In other words, envision your dream identity on the screen of your mind at all times. This will alter your thought process and ultimately your mindset.
Attitude in Business- The inherent connection: It’s essential for entrepreneurs and businesswomen to maintain a positive attitude. In this era of intense competition, they must possess the attitude to perceive more despite limited resources. Scientific research supports this notion. When you can recognize the finer details within your limited resources and surroundings, you are able to provide more input to your Reticular Activating System (RAS) in your brain. Developing this skill takes time and regular exercise, just like going to the gym strengthens your muscles. You need to feed your mind with mental protein and maintain the attitude of “Dil Mange More” (‘your heart wants something extra’) at all times. When your Reticular Activating System (RAS) becomes active, it helps you remain optimistic and constructive, even in challenging situations. It enables you to focus solely on your goals and not get caught up on obstacles along the way, allowing you to see beyond and see more!
To enhance the depth of Attitude, allow me to share the wise words of Dr. Gouri Kumra. “Aptitude, Attitude & Altitude are achieved through awakening, awareness, and aspiration. What sets awareness apart from thought? Awareness resides within, while thought resides outside. Awareness is free from ego, while thought carries the weight of ego.” – Dr. Gouri Kumra, esteemed Consultant Obstetrician-gynecologist in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
